This clinic is more than a workplace; it is a dream come true. Through our efforts, we will be able to serve a community with limited access to health services due to geographical and economic conditions. Our commitment is to expand the outreach of health services, addressing the community's health problems with outstanding and comprehensive patient care.
Our priority is to educate the community about their diseases and accompany them on their journey in a timely manner. Beyond fulfilling a personal dream, I find fulfillment in knowing that the community will be the primary beneficiary of our services. This community, with its unique limitations and adversities, will soon be guarded by all those involved in making this project a reality.
The positive impact we envision is significant—we will provide preventive care and management through education, control of existing diseases, and a reduction in the risk of common diseases and complications. Additionally, we aspire to support public health systems by decongesting their services.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I am committed to continuous improvement and being better every day.
Hello, my name is Andrea Donick Bodden Zelaya, a 33-year-old physician originally from the beautiful island of Roatán.
I pursued my medical education at the prestigious Catholic University of Honduras in San Pedro Sula. While leaving Roatán to pursue my dream posed a significant challenge, the profound love and respect I hold for medicine as a science provided the strength to spend eight years away from my family and friends.
The decision to become a doctor was rooted in my belief that it is a humble profession allowing us to experience the love, power, and greatness of God firsthand. This career provides a direct connection with the temple of God, a gift that demands we honor and respect it by treating our patients with non-negotiable ethical values and principles.
Returning to the island with five and a half years of diverse experience in different health areas, it is an honor for me to be part of a project that aligns with the ethical principles I hold dear—a community where the love for God and the respect for human life reign above all.
Best regards,
Dr. Andrea Bodden
