Being able to work in this clinic fills me with a lot of hope because I know that we will be able to bring health to an area of the island that does not have quick access to health services, and I also know that we will try to serve the population with quality.
In advance, thank you for allowing me to be part of this new hope for this community, I am excited for all the good that is to come.
Through the clinic, we are going to impact the lives of entire families, who due to lack of basic needs such as public transportation at all hours or due to the difficult economic situation, have had to abandon their treatments, and I know that through this wonderful project we will be able to have a health plan for patients in the area and its surroundings.
Hello, my name is Maverick Fernando Hernandez; I am 32 years old. I am originally from a small town called Santa Rita, Yoro, but I have lived in Roatan since I was 5 years old, so I feel like an islander.
I studied at the government school called Juan Brooks and then part of my high school at the Jose Santos Guardiola Institute, continuing my last years on the mainland.
Later, I entered the Catholic University of Honduras, in San Pedro Sula and decided to study the noble profession of medicine.
Since I was little, I was very curious. I wanted to know the reason for everything. Therefore, wanting to know the human body caught my attention.
And also knowing that medicine was going to allow me to help calm the pain of others.
So, from day one of my start in my career, I committed to giving my best to be able to know, understand, and treat the human body.
